None, nada, zilch, zero. I was disappointed with this fact. It doesn't include a lancing device or even a couple sample strips.

I think there were just some lancets when I opened the one I got, but I just ordered the lancets and strips, I thought the price was good. There is no device to use the lancets with this meter you order that seperately. You can order it from walmart.

I checked my manual and it lists no F-6 error code, it does have a E-06 which is a temperature warning (out of range).

answer 2
Do you mean E-6? it means "temperature outside of acceptable range 0f 41 degree and 113 degree farenhite (5 - 45 degree celcius). You will not receive a reading. Allow the meter to warm up, or cool down, slowly to between [the acceptable range low and hi]" pg 62 of book

Pretty sure this is the code designation for your test strips. You check this with the code listed on your test strip container. If it matches you're good to go, if not, discard it and insert another.

You have to buy the program and cable needed so you can down load the meter's memory to your computer. Call the 800 number on the back of the meter and they might be able to help you get what you need.

Question

Can you tell me the differences between the various ReliON brand meters / strips?

I can't afford to use the testing meter I currently use so I thought I'd try one of the WalMart products. However, I'd like to know the differences including lancing devices, test strip costs, accuracy claims etc. Thanks so much.

The difference is going to be in how high the meter can register blood glucose readings. The higher the price of the device, the higher it can measure.

get the pharmacy tyo help you go for the finest *smallest) ones that work less pain. The new the cost is cheap 16 dollars for 50 strips, the accuracy is great see consumer reports reviews.

There is a neww syringe out to but it is B&D brand 6mm short and ultra fine dosnt hurt like the others.

try it.

You need to either contact your Health Insurance provider or ask a pharmacist to help you at the local Wal-mart.

I would ask the insurance company and you would probably need an RX from your primary physician if you are eligible under your insurance.

Why do I need control solution when the box says no coding required?

The solution is just to double check the monitor, to be sure it reads properly. They will send you some for free, so it's not to force you to buy products you don't need.

By
karmal
answer 2
To see if the meter is reading accurately, which it doesn't in my opinion. The control solution is a way to be sure your meter and test strips aren't giving you wacky readings, like a 40 when you are at 90. Big difference.

Probably not. Their test strips are most likely different.

If you want to use the Relion Ultima meter, just purchase it and the correct test strips. Those are foil wrapped so are not damaged by heat & humidity.
