The E-Z Gate Wireless Driveway Alarm by Mighty Mule alerts you when anyone enters your driveway, so you will never be surprised by visitors in vehicles. The handy alarm uses reliable vehicle detection to sense when a car or truck passes and does not alert you when an animal or human passes. The sensor features in-ground electromagnetic sensors that will activate an indoor chime when a vehicle enters. The E-Z Alarm features a sensitivity adjustment that will allow you to choose how sensitive you want the electromagnetic sensor to be in detecting movement. Designed to detect mass metal moving within a 3' to 12' radius of the wand, the driveway sensor alarms can transmit to an internal base station up to 400' away, allowing you to use it on lengthy driveways. Easy to install, this E-Z Wireless Gate Driveway Alarm by Mighty Mule can be put at the foot of your driveway.

Thank you for your question. The E-Z Gate Driveway Alarm is used to notify you if a vehicle has entered your driveway. This item is not compatible with the E-Z Gate Openers.

Yes. I have one receiver in the front and one in the back of my house because they are not very loud. Just make sure the code switches are set to the same code.

Thank you for contacting Mighty Mule! The interior base unit (E-Z Gate Indoor Base Station for Driveway Alarm) comes equipped with a volume control to set to the preference of the user. The unit is designed to be used for one room/area, if the unit is not loud enough to be heard in other rooms a total of four units can be utilized per Driveway Alarm.

How close can it be to other metal.

How close can it be to the metal gate.or any metal as far as that goes.my drive has metal rails running down it.

Sensor is about 14 in long and 1.5 in diameter, heavy magnet. Magnet and line to transmiter can be buried. Transmitter pole can be buried part way with face of transmitter above grouind. Great product.

Thank you very much for your question. The average battery life is expected to be 2 years (This may vary slightly based upon the type of AA batteries installed). When the batteries get low, the convenient "Battery" LED on your base station will illuminate reminding you to change them.

The electromagnetic field provided by the sensor is a 12 ft. radius of the sensor, the highway should not interfere in this application. Thank you very much for your question. The E-Z Gate Wireless Driveway Alarm sensor should be buried parallel to the driveway 1 ft. below ground. Once the placement of the of the transmitter is found, you would dig a narrow trench or "slit" for the wire, at least 6 in. deep, from the sensor to the transmitter using a small spade or trowel. This will help prevent damage to wire.
