Gut feel its better suited to those 2-5 purely from a height perspective and to keep them entertained as it comes with magnetic alphabet and numbers which might be considered basic for an 8 year old

answer 5
I think this would be too small for an 8 year old, my 5 year old loves it but its very basic and simple. They have some nicer, taller ones that an 8 year old might prefer.

I bought my daughter the crayola Dora Giant pad and have been using those for her to color. They are about the length of a Sunday newspaper however you can use standard photocopying size paper too

8x10 is too small, I'd aim for maybe 16x20 or a little bit smaller, not sure of the exact measurements other than the standard size printer paper is too small.

Very easy

answer 2
assembly is very easy. The only thing to assemble is putting the lower legs on. Be sure to look at them though because they are marked to go in specific sides, which I didn't notice until I had put them on. Once they are in they are in for good! Overall took about 2 minutes to assemble this product.

answer 4
Assembly takes less than 5 minutes. All you need to do is insert the tray between the boards. Then you insert the legs to make it taller. The tray is easy. The legs are marked R and L and makes it easy to find which one goes where. OVerall....very easy.

The two piece legs took a bit of strength to put together. In the long run I think it makes the easel more sturdy. The kids won't be able to take it apart. The rest went together easily.

Hi CRR, The Crayola 3-in-1 Double Easel with Magnetic Letters has a magnetic/dry-erase side and a chalkboard side. The image online shows a little girl drawing/coloring a lion. While it may look like paint at first glance, this is done on the magnetic/dry-erase side with Crayola Dry Erase Markers and Crayons.
