It says it is a "Rifle scope" but can it take the recoil of a 30/30 i dont know. You will need to buy seperatte rings to mount it to.

What kind of .30-.30? It depends on the brand, whether it is drilled and tapped for a rail and whether it ejects from the side or top. Most later model Marlins are factory drilled and tapped for a scope mount. I would not personally use anything other than a good, simple 4 power scope on a .30-.30 You have a 100 yard gun.
If you do not have a Weaver mount on the rifle, I believe one is made that will bolt on to the top of it.
