answer 2
It did not come with a lid, buy it seperatley or go outside the box in thought process and purchase a decent splatter screen, I have them and the lid and use the screen the most. Handles on lids will get hot and need a pot holder, that is the only draw back other than draining purposes.

They recommend seasoning for best performance, but it did not say it was required. I intend to see how it works WITHOUT seasoning as this is a home, Summer is coming and the temps are rising, but the A/C has not been turned on yet since the furnace may still need to run overnight. Seasoning I have done (and as they have recommended requires oil and a lotta heat (I usually go 350-400, but they say 300 for an hour - I guess there are a lot of ways to skin a raccoon) <G>

Yes. Use plain vegetable oil (not canola, olive, or other specialty type). Follow the seasoning directions exactly, remembering not to use soap at any time after seasoning. If you do, re-season.

answer 5
Yes it needs to be seasoned. It is easy just rub inside on skillet with a thin coat of cooking oil and bake in the oven for 1 hour. All instructions for seasoning come with the skillet.

answer 6
you just wipe it with vegatable oil and heat it over med. heat until it smokes. (after you wash it of course)

answer 7
All they mean by "seasoning" the pan is covering the bottom with vegetable oil and heating it up until just before smoking. It explains it in the directions exactly how to do it so you can get the full nonstick performance of the pan. I have a 10" orgreenic and followed these directions and the pan works great. I don't know if it would work any different if you DON'T season the pan, but to me it was worth following the directions. Hope this helps.

Yes, however it is advised not to use anything but wood or plastic utensils. To clean it only take water and maybe a little dish soap. Green pads will not scratch surface.

The directions state that it goes from the cook top to the oven. It does not specify at what degrees to cook at and I have not made that attempt.

I've used it in the oven once at about 400 degrees Fahrenheit (to finish off some homestyle fried potatoes, I think), and it worked fine. It may be fine at even higher oven temperatures, but check the manufacturer's website to be sure.

I would use a spritz of nonstick cooking spray myself (because I'm uber-cautious). You can try it without (as long as it's been "seasoned" per manufacturer's instructions), but keep the nonstick spray handy, and make sure you've got enough fish so that first serving can go to the family dog or cat if it sticks.

Judy, I've read many bad reviews about this product. Even my sister had a bad experience with sticking. I still use small amounts of oil in the pan. I do notice sticking if I don't. I have done many things in the pan including using it in the oven to make nachos (don't use oil in that case). Also have noticed that it works best if you let the pan cool before trying to clean. I really love this pan and plan to get the baking (jelly roll) pan. I have nothing against oil so it doesn't bother me that I still need to use it. I've had this for over 6 months now and it is still working fine for me.

The manufacturer does make lids which would fit; however, I've only seen them for sale as part of one of the larger Orgreenic cookware sets. Try checking with the Telebrands Customer Care address provided in an earlier answer; otherwise, just buy a "universal pan lid" at Walmart. (If they have the universal lids at your local Walmart, check them against the 12" Orgreenic skillets there, to confirm that they'll fit; on the website, see if anyone in the customer reviews has used that lid with Orgreenic skillets, or post a question on that product's page.)
