This sim card runs on AT&T prepaid towers. Your ST phone doesn't bounce on other towers, it uses one provider and that's it. The model is what determines which provider that it.

Hi, I had the same problem (well, I purposely bought the regular sim for another phone but then I bought the iphone 4 and realized it didn't fit...) so I read a bunch of stuff online and found this girl- I followed her instructions to cut it myself and it worked perfectly-
http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57484847-285/how-to-cut-your-own-micro-sim-card/

The filing was the key- i used a nail file and it took me couple tries. I cut it to fit fine but then had to sand a little more than i thought before it worked- but it worked! good luck!

i also spoke with customer service at straight talk yesterday (3/8) and they gave me no estimated time frame. they told me that their warehouse is out of stock on the att compatible sim and that i would just have to keep checking back online. although that's what i believe from the very broken english the csr spoke.

I just spoke yesterday with a customer service rep at straight talk and was told that their estimated time for getting new sims is in about 4 weeks (today is 3/8)

I've been faithfully refreshing this page for the last few weeks in hopes of getting a second sim for my wife's phone and was beginning to lose faith. This news was helpful in that at least there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

As a suggestion to walmart, I would love a "subscription" feature so that when an item comes back into stock, I'd get an email with a link that says... "buy this now".

hope this is helpful to any and all.

The iPhone 4 & 4S use the micro SIM.

How can I order a straight talk micro sim card for my i phone as I am on a fixed income and would like to save money and a friend recommended it for m

I have gone online and can't get it. I don't understand why the Walmart stores do not have it in the store, but I can't get online either. I am very disappointed to these results.

P.S. I have friends that love the service and others wanting it.

The website automatically canceled my order when paying with a credit card, and I had to use PayPal for payment. Then Walmart called to verify the purchase and sent the order.

Question

What is going on with the unavailability of AT&T sims?

Todd,

I've spoken with StraightTalk's customer service both via email and on the phone and from what they've told me, the AT&T compatible SIMs are out-of-stock temporarily. However, the site does not give the user any options to buy the SIM card because of this, and I understand it can be misleading as it lead me to believe that StraightTalk and AT&T were no longer in partnership. You will be able to purchase one as soon as they become available. In the meantime, you can always purchase a StraightTalk GSM phone from Walmart, and use the SIM in any unlocked or AT&T phone that you have. The SIM card will be blue in AT&T phones, and pink in T-Mobile phones, BUT make sure that you DO NOT return the phone or the IMEI and serial numbers will be deactivated by StraightTalk and you will lose your number and everything. They most likely will be aware if T-Mobile is in your area, and will not be offering any devices that operate on T-Mobile's network if there are no towers available. I am in a similar situation in where I do not live in an area that T-Mobile has coverage. On the bottom left on the StraightTalk phone package, you'll see GSM-A for AT&T-only phones with AT&T SIMs inside, or GSM-T for T-Mobile phones. Some simply say GSM, and you'll need to see if the SIM card is blue or pink. You can return the phone within 14 days if you have all of the packaging and receipt if it purchased by mistake on T-Mobile's network, but remember to keep the phone if it is on AT&T. Once returned, all services WILL BE CANCELED and all information will be lost regarding the account. I hope this has provided some insight and hope that you can get an AT&T SIM card soon. Have a good evening.

I recently signed up with Straight Talk, and was able to get get a ATT compatibile SIM from the Walmart website before they sold out.
There is no official statement from ATT or Straight Talk as to why the SIMs are currently unavailable but the speculation is that there are contract negotiations going on between ST and ATT and the SIMs were pulled from the ST website as leverage against ATT.
Official word from ST was that ATT compatible SIMs would continue to be sold on walmart.com until supplies were exhausted. They have reappeared in stock and disappeared again more than once so keep checking back.
I was a T-Mobile customer for almost 10 years and their service never improved in my area over that time regardless of their advertising to the contrary. That's why I wanted an ATT SIM instead of a T-Mo compatible one even though I dislike ATT as well.

We are having the same issue. Straight Talk sent us a T-Mobile SIM and we have no internet signal with it. I called and spoke with customer service and was told that Wal-Mart is the only place you can buy them for Straight Talk AT&T phones. I called my local Wal-Mart (we have 4 in our city) and apparently our city is not big enough for our Wal-mart to carry them (according to the electronics associate) so we can only get them in Kansas City and St. Louis. I called a Kansas City store, and was told that Wal-Mart does not carry them (according to their electronics associate), they can only be purchased through Straight Talk. So who knows. We can't get any answers no matter where we look or call.

You cannot use this if you still have a plan on your phone, this is for Straight talk service only. And your AT&T phone has to be unlocked, with no contract.

If you port your number to Straight talk, your contract with At&t will cancel and you will be responsible for etf fees.

If you are still within your contract period, then switching would be a breach of it - lots of fees.
If your contract has expired, then there won't be any problem.

If yes, you should have a slot for a SIM card (near the battery, or maybe an external pop-out holder).

this is a micro sim card, you need to check and see if your phone has a micro or regular size. If it has a micro it will work, your phone has to be unlock and you need to call straight talk to help you activate their data also.
