on 2 Year Drop, Spill and Cracked Screen Service Plan for Laptops $300 - $399.99
It is ready to go right out of the box. It is also a very easy setup but it does take a little bit of time. Just follow the prompts.
Make sure u install an anti-malware too. its only like $17 & can be usd on more than one computer... the other is good for the anti-virus, but i almost had to replace my computer due to getting a virus from not having anti-malware. but we bought the anti malware installed it and now my computer works great!
Yes when you get your computer it is set up and ready to go. When you get close to the end of the antivirus it will let you know that it is ready to expire. Now the Word Processing and the Power Point you have to purchase that separately and you can do that on line but I wouldn't recommend that cause you can go and buy your own and see what you are buying. I would definitely by extra screen protection in case you spill water, drop or scratch and break the screen as this stuff isn't covered in the basic warranty. It is worth it for 40.00 for 2 years. When your Antivirus expires I have Avast on my computer now and it is a great antivirus I have it on my other 2 computers and it is the best I have ever had and it's only 40.00 for 2 years where as the McCaffe is about 100 plus dollars a year. If something tries to get on your computer it will automatically come across your screen in a big box and tell you and sometimes if it's going to corrupt something it will automatically shut your computer down for you and keep it safe.
Get the computer, warranty (they replaced mine free after kids trashed it with 30 days left on warranty) a neoprene carry bag and a screen protector. Your internet carrier (we have Comcast) should provide free virus protection bt if not then this comes with 60 days of free protection then it is up to you.
For programs, don't bother with Microsofts overpriced programs. Download openoffice 3.1 for free. Just as easy to use and no cost to it.
First you have to register the product, then ask the information how to active the antivirus, they did to me. The Laptop that I got only came with Windows 8 and antivirus, it's for one year, after the year you have to buy it. Do NOT have Office (Word, Power Point, Excel...) you have to buy it. I don't like Windows 8, I do like the Laptop.
It comes with a 30 day Microsoft office trial and Norton Anti-Virus. You must activate both yourself. Norton offered a discount to purchase the software. The laptop was pretty much ready to go once I turned it on for the first time.
