If you get Verizon in your local area, then it will work. You can check at verizonwireless.com on the coverage maps for prepaid.

This phone is confirmed as working on Verizon. In my local Walmart store, price tag is listed at $250.00.

The Galaxy Proclaim, another Verizon Android on Straight Talk has been reduced to $149.00.

No, all Android powered phones have to have at least a $45 dollar card. I think mostly because of the internet the phones use.

No, all Androids require the $45 card. The $30 card simply doesn't have enough data with it to run smartphones.

You can buy this phone in Walmart stores only.

You cannot site to store, or buy from the Straight Talk website. If you need to, change the zip code of your local store up top to see if any of your local stores carry this phone.

Does anyone in the Elizabeth City, NC area have one of these phones and does it work good in this area?

I would love to have this phone, but the area where you put your zip code to see if the phone works in that zip is saying that it doesn't work in the Elizabeth City, NC area. And yet, the local WalMart is selling this phone. Someone help please.. :( I just want to know if the phone does or doesn't work in the Elizabeth City, NC area. Thanks :D

If Verizon service works in your zip code than the phone would work cause it runs in verizon towers. Hope that helps you out.

Since this device uses Verizon for service, and by checking on the Straight Talk website with 2 other phones that are on Verizon, this will work.

The other 2 phones on Verizon are the LG Optimus Zip and the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim. Both of these are available in all three zipcodes for Elizabeth City, NC.

Verizon. If you see the package in the very bottom left corner it will say cdma-v (the v stands for verizon) in small letters.

The Straight Talk website has the other two Verizon Androids, Samsung Galaxy Proclaim and the LG Optimus Zip, as both being able to be bought and used in your area.

By that alone, this phone will work in the 50036 zipcode. It is covered by Verizon also.

My guess is that this phone is sold in stores only, so it is not showing on the website.

Ask your local WalMart. The website has NO idea if it works in your area or not. Mine said the same thing and it works fine on the VERIZON network!
