Looking for Answers about Tracfone TracFone LG840G Cell Phone?

NO, Sorry, NOT AN ANDROID PHONE... :-(

Missi, this phone only has three "Buttons". Power, Volume up and Volume down. Everything else on the phone is "Touch" on the Glass type buttons. Yes it has a QWERTY keyboard or the standard T9 digital style tap keyboard available. Texting works well and consumes approx. 1/3rd of a minute per each SMS 160 character text message both inbound and outbound. The best part is that this is a Triple Minutes for Life phone, so for every 1 minute you pay for, you wind up with 3 on your phone. MMS messages that contain video or pictures will cost more to send and receive depending on the size of the pictures or attachments. Voice quality is outstanding on my phone and volume is nice and loud.

yes it does show minutes and DAYS(not date) on the main screen, when you power the phone on it will show expiration DATE for about 5 seconds, then it will go to the main screen and there it will have a constant display of your remaining minutes and the number of remaining DAYS(counting down each day) not your expiration date, you can turn off these displays of minutes and days, but why would anyone want to do that?

If your area is served by AT&T, this phone should work just fine.

don't understand your question,-- if you have an old phone and want to transfer everything to this new phone, yes you can---if you have an old phone and just want to buy this new phone and activate it thus having two tracfones, yes you can---if you just have an old phone that is de-activated and want to re-activate it, yes you can, but you have to get a new sim card from Tracfone, once a tracfone is de-activated that sim card is not usable again, must receive a new one(they have told me there is no charge, they mail it to you)

Search eBay or Amazon for an LG T375 or LG T395. The LG 840g has been sold outside the U.S. for a couple of years under these model numbers. There is a seller from Spain that has listings for the silicone gel cases for $5-$6. Amazon has leather cases listed under those model numbers. There is another place www.fatorder.com that is supposed to be getting the gel cases for the LG 840g by late December. Currently listed as out of stock.

if you are going by the WalMart search, ignore that,--go to the tracfone.com site(link listed below), I think the WalMart search says "no" to all searches, there must be a problem with their search program,--this LG840g is a great phone and is usable all over the country but check with the tracfone site to be sure:

No you can't watch Youtube videos 'on minutes'. This has to do with Tracfone not allowing streaming video.
