That sounds like a deal at the point of sale.
MY phones came blank with something like 10 minutes free.
IF you have your phone and it is saying on the Main screen
the Minutes listing and the Service Days left, then it is telling
you the TOTAL currently in your account.
My PURCHASED minutes were doubled when they appeared there.
(I NEVER saw 400 minutes from my card, for example.)
Never through your cards away until the totals are what you
think they should be.
They change there as you use them.
AFTER a call I always see they are already deducted.
3.5 hours refers to battery life. No, it doesn't mean you get 7 hours.
With prepaid phones you purchase minutes. So, you'll see Tracfone "service cards" with 60, 120, 200, 400, etc. minutes.
When you buy a phone that has "double minutes" for the life of the phone it's referring to doubling the service card quantities. Example, if you buy a 60 minute card you'll see 120 minutes on your phone when it's activated.
Each service card adds 90 days of service to your phone. So if you activate two 60 minute service cards on this phone you'll receive 240 minutes and 180 days of service. Phones display your status, constantly showing your end date and how many minutes are available. Before the 'end of service' date you must activate another service card. If you don't activate another card your phone stops working and you lose your telephone #. To resume service you just re-activate the phone #on the website# and add another service card. Minutes rollover as long as you keep your phone active. So if you don't use all your minutes by the service date you get to keep them as long as you keep your phone active.
I still own my first Tracfone that I bought in 1999. It no longer works because it's obsolete but it worked until I was forced to switch to a modern digital phone. And I had many phone numbers over the years.
