Simulated surround sound mimics the effect of a multi-speaker surround-sound system, but it uses fewer speakers and fewer cables. These systems come in two primary varieties - 2.1 surround and digital sound projection. Most of the time, 2.1-surround systems use two speakers placed in front of the listener and a subwoofer placed somewhere else in the room. These recreate the effect of a 5.1 surround-sound system, which has five speakers and a subwoofer. Digital sound projectors, on the other hand, tend to use a single strip of small speakers to produce sound. Many digital sound projectors do not include a subwoofer.

The Sony HTCT60 Sound Bar has the feature to create multichannel surround sound.

It can be wall mounted using two normal wood screws (or whatever is appropriate for your walls) placed 15" apart. The sound bar itself is very light, so they don't need to be very heavy duty. Hardware is not included, but instructions are in the manual.

Yes you can all you have to do is connect all devices into your tv and then run fiberoptic cable from tv to soundbar

answer 3
It may be possible to connect 3 different devices (eg. satellite receiver, TV and Blu-Ray player) to the HTCT60. However take note that the HTCT60 only has 3 audio inputs: an analog red and white audio in, optical in, and digital coaxial in. You can probably use the optical in for the Blu-Ray player's audio, the digital coaxial for either the TV or satellite box and the analog in for either TV or satellite box as well, depending on your set up.

And no, it does not have bluetooth function.

it state in manual that it works with every TV...I do not have a Sony TV and it works with mine. But you use the remote to adjust volume, and once it is set, if you are happy with the volume you can forget the remote for the soundbar, you do not have to re adjust each time TV is turned on. However turn the volume on TV off as you will get an annoying echo from the TV & soundbar..had to figure this one out myself!

definitely does not come with any extra cables.

i'm not honestly sure if there is even an option to hook this up. If so, RadioShack or WalMart would be your best first choices.

if you wish to play sound or music from your iphone through a speaker system, then look at blue tooth wireless systems.

these will cost a little more but you'll be much happier in the end.

The cable is not supplied with the Sony HTCT60 Sound Bar to connect an iPhone. Use the cable in the following link to connect the Headphone Output port of the iPhone to the Analog Audio Input port of the Sony Sound Bar.

http://www.docs.sony.com/release/hyperlinks/png59124.png

To check the availability of the cable, contact Walmart directly by clicking on the "Contact Us" link under "Help" at the bottom of the page and an associate will be happy to assist.
