Download or disc version?
I'm about to buy a laptop and Microsoft offfice (dont yet have the new laptop). I haven't bought Office in several years; the last time I did you purchased a disc, put it in and that's how office was put on the computer. Now I see there are Office versions with a download or a card. Which one is this version? If this is the download version, after puchasing were am I downloading office from? I read somewhere an email was sent to you and that's how you download. Help

on Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 - 1 PC
You get a box that has a card with a key number on it. Also the box contains instructions on how to get the download. It actually comes from Microsoft's web site. You need the key number to access it.
The down load is quick. Installation, not so much. But once installed, you can just run with it.
I had contacted Microsoft and from their customer service to tech support both agree and state there is no product DVD/CD for office 2013. It is all downloaded and they either email or send you the link and key to your product.
