The original equipment fitment for the 2009 Honda Pilot, per the current Tire Guide is P245/65R17. We recommend using the General Grabber STX Tire 245/65R17 107T FR.

The Grabber STX has a 60,000 Mile Warranty (through Walmart) is built by General Tire, and a Uniform Tire Quality Grade, (UTQG) of 640 AB.

Your 06 Escape Limited requires a 235/70R16 104T. The 104 is the tires load index,(1984 lbs), and the T is the tires speed rating,(118 mph). You can always go up in load and speed rating, so the STX with a load index of 106, (2094 lbs), can be used on your vehicle. the FR stands for flanged rim, which is a rim protector.

The Grabber STX has a 60,000 Mile Warranty (through Walmart) is built by General Tire, has a UTQG of 640 AB, the rest of the STX features are similar to the Grabber HTS although it has a slightly different Tread Design and compound.

They have a highway tread, not an off-road type of knobby and open tread. That's why I bought them; I was looking for a quieter tire than the last ones. What kind of 4-wheeling are you doing? If you are doing a lot of off-road type of driving, I'd say no. If you use 4WD occasionally on a snowy day or in a muddy situation they would be fine.

Yes, if purchased in sets of 4 for on road, (and occasional off road), use. If you plan to primarily drive off road, we recommend checking out our Grabber AT2.
