The Red, Blue, and Purple are because they're different size bikes or the gender is different.

The Next powerclimber has come in different colors but not in awhile. Its orange right now but was blue in the past. It has been orange for about a year now and if it would change it would probably be Spring 2010.

Yes it does, although I think it only comes in red, blue, and purple. I have blue. Ask at Walmart-they would know if it comes in orange.

Yes, this bike size would be perferct for him. The size is ok but I wouldn't reccomend this bike vecause it is weak and wont last and if it breaks it is almost impossible to find replacement parts for.

Yes, its a 18 speed bike. This means there are 3 gears on the derailer(front gear) and 6 on the back shifter. These are enough for regular riding, hills, and some mountain biking.

How it is recommended, he should have a inch inbetween the top tube and his inseam. This isn't always the case though. Take him to a store and try out a few!

Nope, sorry. Walmart use to carry a 20 inch Mountain bike called the Mako but don't anymore. I don't know if they still have 20 inch Mountain bikes.

Finding parts for bikes is amazingly hard. The easiest way to get parts is taking the bike back to your local walmart for repair and they should be able to order and install the parts for you. They might charge you for the parts and they might not. If you decide to take this route, the wait might be long as parts can be on back order and what not.

The max suggested weight limit for a 24 inch bike is 250 lbs. But some bikes can handle more than this. The Powerclimber would be able to hold 300lbs and be fine but I wouldn't go much above that.

You can try and contact Next but I've heard it doesn't usually work. Try walmart, just go in and ask to talk to an assembler. They can order just about any part for a bike and usually have extras in back.
