Of course it has a battery in the machine and a very powerful one, maybe equivalent to a motor cycle battery.

answer 2
The description is poor. It has a built in battery. Perhaps the person who wrote the description was trying to imply that this item does not *require* batteries or that the batteries are not changeable.

Yes, you can plug it into a cig. lighter and I charge it in my home with a 6ft. extension cord with one outlet.

answer 2
No. This can only be charged with a 120V AC extension cord.

Therefore, there is no provisions in the Owners Manual for ordering an Accessory to keep this device charged using your auto's 12V DC outlet.

The air hose is about 10 inches long.

I have seen reports where people have had great charge on this battery after it sat for 3 months.

There is no information in the owners manual about how often to charge this device, but it does have a 3-bar LED indicator on the front to enable you to check the battery's charge.

depends on the wattage it is all about the wattage
very important to keep this charger charged every 3 weeks or so. When you go to use it, it could be slow and not a good charge.

perhaps a small coffee maker. Check the data tag for output. Only rated for 500 watts and my experience has been that the internal battery does not hold a charge well. Good luck.

top, front, left slide black cover away to expose AC prongs. Standard extension cord will fit there. Would have been nice if manufacturer had included a charging cable since there is room in the compressor compartment for a short cable.

How do you jump start a battery?

Lay flat with compressor hose cover up and handle towards you. As you look at the unit, just to the right of the handle and below the cigarette lighter power outlet is a two position switch. If you look close you can read the On and Off positions. By turning this switch to ON it powers the cables that are wrapped on the back of the unit. Unfortunately my experience has been that the internal battery does not hold a charge long enough to be very useful but on the off chance that I just got a lemon, the above procedure will work. Remember red cable to positive, black to ground/negative.. There is a light to the left of the cigarette lighter outlet if you hook the cables up backwards. It is a good idea to hook the cables up before turning the unit on.
