minimum is 3.5L to max of 4L

answer 2
The manual states a minimum of 3.5 liters and a maximum of 4 liters. 4 liters is 2oz greater than 1 Gallon (US). So basically 1 gallon is the correct maximum amount, one pint less is the minimum.

Can you store grease in the unit to use again at a later date?

I would not recommend it. It is basically a tub that the oil is in and can not be tightly closed like the Fry Daddy. I ended up using two old plastic bottles that I had been using for water.

answer 2
we do. restaurants do so we figure it should be safe for us to do it too. We have had ours about 3 weeks now and used it 3 times with the same oil and everything comes out fine. We were frying in a pan and discarding the oil so purchasing this saves us on oil.

Absolutely! it won't go bad. if you use it a lot and find particles of other food you have fried in it you can filter it through a cheese cloth and keep using the oil!

Also...the book says the product is equipped with a safety switch located on the control panel assembly. If the control panel assembly is NOT placed properly in its position, the appliance will not operate. (you don't look for a switch...you assemble the appliance correctly together and then it should work. But I think my other answer is your solution. Just set it to your temp, the green light will go out, then when it gets to your set temp the green light will come back on to let you know its ready.)

answer 2
the green light shuts off until set temperature is reached
answered 6 months ago
By
Kcbugsmimi
answer 3
I think you are misinterpreting the green light. You set the temperature you desire. When the green light comes on,place your food into the fryer. Don't adjust the temperature again. What you essentially telling the fryer is.."Ok,i got my temp.,but i want it hotter.. and the fryer says give me a moment. if I am wrong ,then it is probably just overheating, because it's overworked, too hot and the intervals are too short.I hope this helps!

answer 6
What I see is when I first plug it in, both the blue power light and green ready light come on. Then I set the temperature and the green light goes out until it achieves the desired temperature. Once it is at the temp I set it for, the green ready light comes back on. It takes varying amounts of time, seems like a good 15 minutes or more if I have it set for 375 degrees.

With fish,I had to get rid of it after one time, although I fried 4.5 lbs.! And you can't use it for chicken!! In the big basket,I was able to place 4 short thighs into the basket at a time. It's a close fit,but it works.

i change my oil every 2-3 days but i also use it 8-9 hours a day of steady use. not sure on pieces of chicken really because i use it mostly for fries but i did use it to reheat some fried chicken wings( the whole ones) and i put 6-7 in each small basket. might get more using the large one though

answer 3
Thats a matter of how many different items you cook in it. Change it when it gets old enough to suit you
answered 1 year, 1 month ago
By
JHall46
answer 4
it depends on how often you use it but the oil last a while because the deep fryer does not burn the oil it shut off at the set temp. If your talking about chicken wings, it can fry I say six wings or more at a time.

answer 5
Depending on what you fry? We recently fried fish and the oil needed changed afterward due to it having a fishy odor. However french fries, chicken nuggets, or something like that would allow you to reuse the grease a bit more. As far as chicken goes, it would depend on how big the chicken is. You can put quite a bit of chicken nuggets in the large basket, but not as many chicken strips due to their size.
