Transfer of contact phone book
I asked this question before and got answers that it could be done. However, I looked all through the manual for my old phone (LG Encore) and found nothing saying it can be done. The SD card doesn't seem to allow saving contact info on it, just music, pix, videos. As for bluetooth, I paired the 2 phones, and attempted to "send via bluetooth" contact phone numbers. It said it was attempting to do so, but then dropped the connection. Hit retry, and got same result. I guess I will have to retype all the names and numbers into the new phone. Nothing is ever easy with electronics.

You should be able to go into the LG's contact list & use its ability to export the data to a vcf file. Then e-mail that file to yourself, open mail with the phone, touch the vcf attachment, & use the export to contacts option.

Stop doing that for every phone you get. Do it one more time in Gmail then sync ur Gmail account to every Android you get for now on and all your contacts will always be there in just seconds after you turn on a new phone the first time. Also it's much easier to manage your contacts from a laptop than your phone.
You can always back up your contacts to Gmail also. You should already have a google account for access to Google Play. Then all you would need to do it sync your contacts on the new device and done.
