Questions & Answers for O-Cedar O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop and Bucket System

Question

Does the foot pedal work inside the bucket like the Hurricane mop?

The tv ad for a similar mop called the Hurricane mop has the foot pedal working inside the bucket like a washing machine to release all the dirt and hair from the mop before you spin dry.

Does this bucket had that same feature?

I ordered the Hurricane mop from tv ad. I received an email the same day. The charge was more than stated in the ad. I cancelled, but they sent it anyway, I returned it unopened, This mop is much less cost, and has the same features.

Nop, it does not work the same as the Hurricane mop. It only works to take out all the water off, but do not help to wash the mop when you put it in the other side of the bucket. My mom has the hurricane. This has much stronger materials, specially the mop handle. It is much cheaper too. The perfect product will be a mix of the two idea and material, with this price, in my opinion.

I have had the hurricane mop and no the pedal does not spin a thing inside the bucket. The mop with the hurricane fits on that spindle. I just move the mop up and down to get rid of the dirt or whatever I mopped up and then put it in the basket and spin the water out of it. I like this better then the hurricane one.

answer 5
Hi cdavis,
I don't know what a "desk mop" is. You might be able to use a different mop in the spin side of the bucket, "but" whatever you put in there might come flying out. With this system, you hold the handle loosely in your hand while the mop is spinning around at the bottom. The handle spins around too. Plus, the mop is made out of microfibers, so I don't know how well it would rinse with other materials.

Question

how big is the bucket

By
Beth
on O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop and Bucket System

Answers
answer 1
Approximately 18"Lx11"Wx11"H
There is a max fill line below the level of the spin basket. May seem too shallow, but with the mop head flat in the bucket, the water level doesn't have to be too high. Plus this makes for a lighter bucket to empty.

Not much bigger than your standard bucket and surprisingly does not weigh much when moving it since you can only put so much water in up to a fill line.

I've been told that the spinning mechanism won't work unless the handle is an exact position. Can you tell me what position is? My mophead is a little bit wetter than I'd like it so I'm not sure if I'm holding the handle properly. Thank you

Put the mop head in the spinner, hold by the top red tip and use the pedal.

Make sure the pivot portion is straight up so the shaft is straight. Then hold the handle loosely and pump the peddle. I do it about 5 times and it is pretty dry. The pivoting portion takes some getting used to even while mopping but I think this is going to make my work so much easier.

answer 6
The mop handle needs to be perpendicular to the mop head when it's in the spinner. Just hold the handle loosely while pushing on the pedal. The faster it spins, the drier the mop. You need to press the pedal four or more times to get the mop head super dry.

Just make sure it's straight up & down, & while the mop is spinning, loosely hold your hand around the handle for added stability. Once you do it 3 or 4 times you'll find it's easy to work with.
