Questions & Answers for O-Cedar O-Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop and Bucket System

Question

Does the foot pedal work inside the bucket like the Hurricane mop?

The tv ad for a similar mop called the Hurricane mop has the foot pedal working inside the bucket like a washing machine to release all the dirt and hair from the mop before you spin dry.

Does this bucket had that same feature?

I ordered the Hurricane mop from tv ad. I received an email the same day. The charge was more than stated in the ad. I cancelled, but they sent it anyway, I returned it unopened, This mop is much less cost, and has the same features.

answer 3
Nop, it does not work the same as the Hurricane mop. It only works to take out all the water off, but do not help to wash the mop when you put it in the other side of the bucket. My mom has the hurricane. This has much stronger materials, specially the mop handle. It is much cheaper too. The perfect product will be a mix of the two idea and material, with this price, in my opinion.

I have had the hurricane mop and no the pedal does not spin a thing inside the bucket. The mop with the hurricane fits on that spindle. I just move the mop up and down to get rid of the dirt or whatever I mopped up and then put it in the basket and spin the water out of it. I like this better then the hurricane one.

The handle needs to be in the vertical position. If your mop head is too wet, perhaps you've filled the bucket too high (that is, past the "max" line)?

You don't hold onto the handle while your spinning the water out. You put your thumb and forefinger together around the handle and let it spin freely and press the peddle and the handle spins freely, not touching it. It works great.

I put the mop in straight up/down. You can straighten it while in the water bucket.
Put the mop head in the spinner, hold by the top red tip and use the pedal.

answer 5
Hold the handle in an upright vertical position with the mop head in a horizontal flat position in the bucket. That way, there will be no vibrations or splashes and it always works great for me when I do it like that.

Make sure the pivot portion is straight up so the shaft is straight. Then hold the handle loosely and pump the peddle. I do it about 5 times and it is pretty dry. The pivoting portion takes some getting used to even while mopping but I think this is going to make my work so much easier.
answered 4 months, 3 weeks ago
By

answer 9
The mop handle needs to be perpendicular to the mop head when it's in the spinner. Just hold the handle loosely while pushing on the pedal. The faster it spins, the drier the mop. You need to press the pedal four or more times to get the mop head super dry.
answered 4 months, 3 weeks ago
By

answer 10
Just make sure it's straight up & down, & while the mop is spinning, loosely hold your hand around the handle for added stability. Once you do it 3 or 4 times you'll find it's easy to work with.

The telescoping sections can lock. Try twisting them in a little harder. Also hold the mop pole very loosely in your closed but loose grip when using the buckets spin cycle. You'll also note that there is an upright
(perpendicular) pole lock, that should be in place when spinning out some or all of the mop water. To get the pole handle back into the angled mopping position, put the mop on the floor and use your foot to steady it while you change the angle of the pole to the mop.

I find you only need to fill the bucket 2-3 inches making it not very heavy to fill or empty. Also as a bonus, after dipping and spinning the mop it comes out looking clean as brand new each time, no matter how dirty it got on the floor. Wow, this is great. I love this system.
