i bought an unlocked galaxy note II and it was att compatible. att phones use sim cards. don't buy any of the sim cards from straight talk because they all are tmobile unless you want to pay close to $100 for one on ebay. net10, which is part of tracfone and therefore straight talk, is the sim card you need for that phone. i have been using my phone with that plan for months now and have full service on my phone. customer service was very helpful when i wasn't able to send or receive mms messages. they sent me all the correct configs for the phone that i needed to enter in and, voila, i have the same phone and service as if i were paying premium plan prices for only $50/mo ($45 if i do the automatic charge every month).

This kit only works with CDMA phones (Sprint, Verizon, Boost, Virgin Mobile, etc.) and is not compatible with phones that take SIM cards. Even then, there are limitations as to which CDMA phones you are allowed to use with this kit.

From what I understand it will work with any clean Verizon phone (i.e. if you owe the money, it's reported lost or stolen, it's probably not gonna work) that supports 4G/LTE. Doesn't look like your phone has that so it should work.

I just sent straight talk an email at custsrv@straighttalk.com about this question and they said "Please be informed that you can use any CDMA phones as long as it is from Verizon Wireless. Simply purchase a Network Access Code for $14.99plus tax, and an Unlimited or Unlimited ILD Airtime/Service Card. The Network Access Code will serve as a key to load and identify the Verizon phones in the system."

Not sure about any other networks

If your local Walmart does not have any in stock, try the other Walmarts that are close to you. Also try any potential ZOOM Systems Straight Talk Automated Retail Vending Machines that are scattered throughout malls.

This is for CDMA phones, it's not actually a card (CDMA phones don't have "cards") but you're buying an activation code that basically unlocks it and activates it on Straight Talk's network (I suspect the fee is paid to Verizon)

Straight Talk currently isn't supporting 4G/LTE phones with the BYOP programs but the Droid Razr Maxx ACTUALLY has a GSM radio in it. Look for ways on the net to turn on the GSM radio and you can actually use it on Straight Talk using Straight Talk's AT&T Sim Cards

It depends on what carrier you are using.

A CDMA phone = Verizon or Sprint

A GSM phone = AT&T or T-Mobile

From what I understand, most CDMA phones can't be brought over to Straight Talk as the restrictions state the program is not compatible with CDMA carriers Sprint or Metro PCS, 4G LTE devices, iPhones, BlackBerry..."
