Straight Talk is a Tracfone company (or division of Tracfone as is Net10, etc.) so the customer service will be similar if not identical. In fact, I believe I read somewhere that they all use the same call center as they are all the same company.
If you're referring to being dissatisfied with their service when it comes to coverage, it also will most likely be exactly the same coverage if you were to transfer the phone to Straight Talk as I'm thinking that both will use the AT&T network as this particular phone uses. I assume you now are on AT&T with the Tracfone you currently have, correct?
I'm guessing that the only good reason you'd have to switch is if you can get Straight Talk service for quite a bit less money a month. If the price difference per month isn't that different, I don't think it would be worth it to switch as, again, they are the same company.
If you did switch to Straight Talk, you should be able to keep your old number ...unless you want a new number.
And one final comment, if you are dissatisfied with the coverage you are getting from your Tracfone, you may want to consider buying a new phone with Straight Talk that uses the Verizon network. Look for a phone that is designated CDMA-V. You can buy a similar Straight Talk LG phone that uses Verizon from Walmart for under $50.
