VTech VTech SN6187 Careline Home Safety Phone System

This VTech SN6187 Careline Home Phone System offers convenience and mobility for everyday conversations and emergency calls. You can wear it around your neck or clip it to your belt loop. It features two programmable speed dial keys on a safety pendant. The voice-announced caller ID tells you who is calling without you having to look at the device. It also includes caller ID/call waiting that allows you to read the identity of the caller and to put another on hold while you are talking to someone else. This VTech Careline Phone is expandable to up to 12 devices, making it suitable for teams or families to use. There are no monthly monitoring fees.

Neo - The CareLine SN6187 and Panasonic systems, each connected to your phone line, can certainly work in the same location. They will operate independently of each other. Caution: If the Panasonic has an answering system, turn either the VTech or Panasonic answering device off. You only want one taking messages. Thanks!

I would say no. However, you could put it on a holder right next to the tub/shower so that you could still grab it if you fell. I'd put it low so that if you're in the floor you'd be able to reach the cord.

jabber - During a power outage, placing the (charged) cordless handset in the base cradle will provide temporary power to the system for a short duration. During this period, the (charged) pendant will still work. Thanks!

Elizabeth - Our CareLine system is not a monthly monitoring system. It connects to a telephone line in the same fashion as a conventional telephone. In that regard, it will work fine with the services you've mentioned. Thanks!
