We keep the receipt (make a photocopy) and have simply returned it to Walmart for replacement when the cover fails. We typically have recieved between 2-2.5 years of service from the boat cover. After one return, we have essentially gotten our 5years of service (after the 2nd cover fails). We purchase a new cover at that time. Walmart has always honored the warranty. They are very good to do business with in that regard.

No it doesn't stay snug!!! You'd be better off buying a $15 tarp and some bungee cords.
