Questions & Answers for HISENSE Hisense Sero 7 Pro 7" Tablet Quad Core Processor with 8GB Memory, M470BSA

Question

How to turn off Sero 7 vibrate on key click?

The Sero 7 vibrates on each key click when typing. Tried un-checking all the vibration options in Settings, but no luck. It's very distracting and I want to turn off the vibration. What's the trick?

Gymboots, I bought mine in the States, currently using it here in Germany with no problem. The power adapter is multi-voltage (100-240vac, 50/60Hz, automatic, US 2-prong plug, will need a physical adapter). All the 'Droid features/apps seem to be working fine although some of them want to be in German. I just redirect to the US site and all is well.

That is a tough question to answer as I have no idea what Australian guidelines would be. The Google Play Store could be the same as it is in the U.S. or it could work differently. You can select Australia as a country during initial setup, however I have no I idea what Apps may or may not work as it is a licensed Google devise primarily being Marketed in the U.S.

Good question! The easy answer should have been, yes, as the Sero runs Android 4.2.1 and 4.2 is supposed to have a "Users" option in the settings menu that lets you do this. However, even though the Sero is running 4.2, this option is missing in the settings menu!

The only Android devices running 4.2 or higher that don't have this option are phones. Now, this makes your question really interesting because I have seen phone-like behavior on the Sero (certain apps only showing portrait displays, etc) that I thought was attributable to poorly written apps. But now I see that the multi-user menu is missing in settings and I realize that maybe the OS is a phone OS - or - HiSense has removed the multi-user option from the tablet OS for some reason.

Anyway, for whatever reason, the Sero does not support multi-users at this time, even though it should since it is running 4.2 Android.

Despite my speculation, above, that the Sero could be running a phone version of Android, I can say that it runs any app designed for a tablet, perfectly... just the way it is supposed to.

Hope this helps.

Yes, the remote app on both the Pro and LT will work with K366W models and as well as the 610 models. Both devices need to be on the same router and the DLNA setting on the television set needs to be turned on to allow pairing between the tablet and remote.

I don't think it matters. I use a SanDisk 32 GB Class 10.

SanDisk because I trust them, 32 GB because all my devices (desktop, laptop, cameras, phones, and tablets) can read them, and Class 10 because these are the fastest.

Question

How do I down load/move apps to the sd card?

I have another tablet with a sd card slot. After I down load an app to my tablet then I go to settings, click on apps, chose the app I want to move to the sd card, there is a button icon that says "move to sd card" I click on that and the app is moved to the card and I can still use the app. BUT when I tried this on the Hisense pro 7 - it DID NOT have a icon/button to move the app to the sd card. If that is not how you move apps to the sd card then HOW do you move apps to the sd card on the Hisense pro? If you can't move apps on the fly - With out a computer - then how can you move apps to the card? Will the app work if I use a usb cable - computer - to move apps to the sd card? PLEASE HELP - because there is so much I really like about the tablet. But with only 8gb of storage on the tablet and not being able to use the sd card for apps, it is VERY limiting. With this being one of the big sales points for Hisense Pro 7, customers need a fix - or they will return the tablet for a refund. I want to keep the tablet but don't know if I will if this problem doesn't have a fix. I think it is an OS problem - to many updates to OS and problems happens. Please help to find fix. Thanks.

The Sero 7 Pro does not support apps to be loaded to the SD card. BUT if you root the tablet there are apps that will let you BUT the tablet MUST be rooted for them to work. Go here for info http://www.sero7.com/ . It's not hard to do, I do it to all my android cell phones.

Google disabled the ability to transfer apps to the SD card with Jellybean 4.2.1 Which is what the Sero 7 runs. It is an issue with any Android device running the current version of Jellybean (4.2).
