To thaw frozen breast milk, I put the bag of frozen milk in a bowl of cold water for about 5 minutes to thaw it out. Then I transfer it to a bottle, and warm the bottle with the bottle warmer according to the directions.

Breastmilk should be defrosted in the fridge or a warm cup of water. You should have been given this info at your pediatrician or hospital...

I wouldn't, it would melt the inserts. They are pretty thin.

answer 2
I wouldn't use it with such thin plastic. How it works is you put water in it and the hotpad inside heats it to a boil actually touching the bottle itself. If you leave it in there too long it could melt.

You just fill up the enclosed measuring tube with the correct amount of water, which measurements can be found on the back of the warmer, and just push the buttom and wait for the light to go off!

Follow the instructions provided in the Warmer box. We took the little water dispenser, filled it about half way for a small 5 oz bottle, poured the water in the warmer with the basket inside and put the bottle in the basket after you've added the water. Then you push the button and the warmer steams your bottle contents to the right temperature. TEST the contents of the bottle BEFORE you feed your baby to be sure it's not too hot!! Very Important! We just dotted a bit of milk on the underneath of our wrist, where you wear your watch, it's sensitive and you can tell if it's too hot or just right for your baby. Good luck! :)

No. It can only be plugged into an electrical outlet in the home.

There are bottle warmers just for the car, but I would recommend buying a car outlet adapter. It's a charger with an outlet so you can plug in all different items and not have to have a car charger for each different item you want to use. My husband and I love the car outlet adapter, we've used it for our cell phones and labtop :o) They are like $30, defintely worth the money!
