my users manual with my Eclipse V180 Series, 8gb, says this is a touch screen.
When turning on and symbols show on screen, touching any one of them does nothing. even tapping them. If I pres M button on top of player, then music starts playing. But What good is a touch screen if nothing happens. when i tap M button to go to submenu, and press forward arrow on top of player it only moves the highlight to the next word, but tapping on word i.e., delete, does nothing. what am I doing wrong please?

You may touch it, but don't expect anything to happen! 8MB is plenty for possibly 1,000 songs, but I would NOT however, recommend purchasing this product. I have had mine for close to a month and STILL haven't figured out how to load my songs or even use the controls, and you might as well forget about the User's Manual, because it's inaccurate and poorly written. I would not encourage anyone to purchase this product even though it's very reasonably-priced, in my opinion it's a piece of junk!
Sadly this is not touchscreen even though it sais so in the manual. There is a touchscreen of this this product, but it is not sold at walmart. You can get it on amazon or something for like $5 more. The manual is for the touchscreen version, not this junk one.
It doesn't really have a touch screen, we just bought one and are very disappointed. It is a piece of junk. It has a lot of memory for the money but still a piece of junk!!!

It is not a touchscreen. When you move to the submenu word, you need to push the "M" button to select it.

Correct no touch screen on mine. But if use the first button and then the forward or back button, this will take you to the menu and then you can select settings
