Hi Fally,

We do not have any immediate plans for coverage in Haiti, but that will likely change as our company continues to grow. Hope this helps!

Pay-as-you-go coverage is $0.01-0.02 per MB, but you also always have the option of upgrading your data plan which is often a more affordable alternative.

You can track your usage on our website once you have activated your device. We give you a 2GB free trail at the start so you can gauge your usage as well. You can also contact your current provider to have them give you a reading of your monthly usage.

You can check the coverage in your area here http://bit.ly/11zDa0X
Make sure to click the "Data" tab and the "4G WiMax" option. If you are in an area with good 4G coverage than a 4G only device will work fine. If your area does not have great 4G, check the 3G coverage for your location. 3G is generally more widespread.

Question

I have multiple questions

1) Can this device be secured to limit access by others?
2) Description says it has no battery, but it looks like a stand alone device - does it plug into a USB port to operate?
3) How far is the range for devices?
4) We have and love the FreedomStick now but want to allow all the kids to access one device sometimes. We'd like to keep both devices so one kid could be elsewhere and still have access. Is there a plan that allows us to use both with one data account (shared data)?

Great questions, Mom. I'll responded to them in the same order they were asked:

1. Yes. the device comes configured with a default network password that you can keep or change to one of your own preference.

2. This device has an internal battery that allows it to operate on the go. It comes with a micro USB charger for when the battery runs low.

3. Range can very depending on device location and signal strength but in general you should be able to connect to this device if you are within 100 feet. You can also adjust the range via the device utility but this may affect signal quality.

4. You may use the same billing and user information (i.e. names and address) but each device will have to be on it's own data account requiring a separate email for establishment. The reason for this is to make data tracking for each device easier to follow and manage.

Hope this clears things up for you. Glad to hear you have been enjoying our service!

Question

Just Want To Be Clear

Since I can't get 4G in my area (or the areas where I travel most), and I have to opt for a 3G device, then I have to pay $20/mo for the service? It's not a completely bad deal, but I just want to be sure.

Yes, you are correct. If you do not have access to 4G you will need to purchase a device that is 3G capable. You will still have the option of the free 4G plan, but our 3G access plans begin at $3.99/mo.
