Depends on how much you put in- about half a tablespoon less than put in comes out as coffee.

If you use the mug that comes with the machine, then one standard coffee scoop per cup will make a medium strong cup of coffee. Smaller the cup the less coffee you will use, unless you like a really strong cup of coffee.

It has 4 markings for the water level. It depends on how strong you like you coffee as to how much water you want in the tank. Be careful with the amount of coffee however; I used too much coffee the first time and it spilled over into the water tank!

The coffee maker comes with a ceramic coffe cup. Fill the coffee cup with water then pour the water in the coffee maker. Do the same with a smaller coffee cup. If you pour to much water in the reservoir it will overflow. Do not plug the coffee in before you put water in.

Yes, you can use a standard cup; the little round base insert can be attached higher up to bring your cup closer to where the coffee comes out of the basket. You don't have to use their mug - any normal size ones will fit under it.

The bottom piece will slide into slots higher up so you can use a smaller cup without a lot of splashing of coffee. I don't know about buying additional mugs but you can certainly use your own. Not sure about the additional brewing basket/reusable filter. I would be interested in that myself.

How do you use kcups with this?

This is to be a gift for a deployed soldier and needs to be an easy cleanup and use. So the use of k cups would be a huge plus.

This device does not use K-cups. It's like a traditional coffee maker: Dump in coffee. Brew. Dump used grounds out of filter.
answered 10 months ago
By
Kanri
answer 2
K-cups will not fit. Two small scoops of grounds makes a nice cup. Amount is easily altered. Clean up is very simple and takes less than one minute. Just lift the lid, remove the filter, tap the grounds out and rinse. There is even time within that minute to refill with grounds for the next brew.

Easy to use and only clean up is tapping used coffee grounds into garbage and rinse out- husband is also retired navy and ease of use/cleaning was why he said it was his favorate gift. i do not think kcups could be used.

No, doesn't use K cups. Easy clean up is to simple cut a paper filter down to size and put it in the basket. Then toss it after brewing: I do that and it makes clean up a breeze.

Susan760
answer 8
You cannot use the kcups with this coffee pot.
answered 1 year ago
By

answer 9
no - kcups wouldn't work. However, you put a 1 scoop size amount of coffee in the reusable filter (depending on how strong you like it) and you put the amount of water in the water part of the size of cup you want. In about a min its done. Then you throw away the grounds and rinse out the filter. voila done :)

No k-CUPS with this one but, I believe their is one that uses kcups sold by Walmart. Cleanup is running the filter under water, super easy!

The product is not compatible with K-cups. It gives you flexibility to use your own choice of coffee. It comes with a permanent mesh filter which you can clean by rinsing. You do not need paper filter.

Question

How does it make tea?

Can you put the tea in the filter and have it brewed like coffee or does it just provide hot water for use?
asked 1 year ago
By
Megwen
on Bella 1-Cup Coffee Maker

Answers
answer 1
You can put loose-leaf tea or coffee grounds in the filter and it brews both. I have even cut open individual teabags and poured them into the filter. I brew both interchangeably on a daily basis. As long as you scoop in the appropriate amount of loose leaf or grounds for the amount of water, you should get a pleasant cup depending on how strong you like it.

In my use I have never had an issue with over-brewing or steeping that produces a bitter taste in my tea. However it is possible to put too much loose leaf in the filter and get a very strong, acrid bite out of your black teas.

You could add either loose tea or a teabag into filter- water comes out in a slow stream perfect for brewing- i have only tried loose tea, but son used teabag and said it worked fine.
