Can you use a standard cup or mug with this unit?
It comes with large mug but what if you wanted to use a standard cup or coffee mug that holds 6 or 8 ounces. Can this unit accomodate this? Can you purchase additonal mugs and brewing basket/reusable filter?

Yes - i have used many types of mugs- a i dont know about getting replacements.
Yes, you can us your own cups.
Yes, the bottom of the machine which holds the cup can be elevated to accommodate a smaller mug.
Yes, you can use a standard cup; the little round base insert can be attached higher up to bring your cup closer to where the coffee comes out of the basket. You don't have to use their mug - any normal size ones will fit under it.
The bottom piece will slide into slots higher up so you can use a smaller cup without a lot of splashing of coffee. I don't know about buying additional mugs but you can certainly use your own. Not sure about the additional brewing basket/reusable filter. I would be interested in that myself.
You can use any size cup you want. As for getting extra mugs or filters, I can't answer that. If you went to bella's site, you could probably find out.
For the first part of your question, you can use your own mug if you wish. The bottom tray will move up to accommodate shorter mugs.
Yes. It has an adjustable shelf for smaller mugs. I have used some of my other mugs with no trouble. You would have to adjust the amount of water and coffee you use to make a smaller cup of coffee.
It has an adjustable base, you can move it up to hold smaller and shorter mugs. Don't see anything in the instruction booklet about where to order additional or replacement parts.
I would think you can use a standard cup or mug; you would just use less water for whatever size cup you are using.
a mug comes with it but you can use any mug you want
