Does the GPS use up my 2GB and battery quickly?
I'm interested in using this to a large extent as a GPS for an upcoming three month vacation in an RV.
I understand most people use the GPS turn by turn navigation built into Google Maps with this phone.
What is it like to use this phone as a GPS unit?
1. Does the fact it has to get map information from Google increase my data usage quickly over the 2GB limit by Straight Talk?
2. How should I best conserve the battery life while using this as a GPS unit?
3. Anything else to make my GPS experience better?
Thank you very much

GPS does use up more of your battery, and should be turned of when not in use. But, say if you travel alot, and want to use the GPS alot, get a car charger and keep it charging as you travel. It provides turn by turn instructions. Just like a garmin.
Yes it is probably gonna use pretty much of your data...it has got a great GPS though. I constantly use it, in case if I gt lost somewhere or looking for smth. In the settings of the phone there is an option to help you save some battery life, that's about the only thing that I can recommend.
