on Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy S3 Prepaid Cell Phone, White
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a prepaid phone that uses only the Straight Talk Unlimited or Unlimited International service plans.
Because this phone is a CDMA...it uses Verizon
this one is using the verizon network. the blue one as far as I know it's on sprint or at&t
The phone featured on THIS particular page uses the Verizon native network (no roaming). It does not have access to Verizon's 4G LTE network. It will be limited to 3G data speeds.
Straight Talk offers two versions of the SIII. This one, and a Sprint version which is a true 4G LTE phone. Straight Talk does not sell an AT&T version but you can purchase an unlocked GSM SIII from Walmart and then buy a SIM card from Straight Talk which uses AT&T or T-Mobile, your choice; one or the other.
Therefore, you have options on what network you want to use with an SIII on Straight Talk.
Verizon and AT&T will have the most comprehensive coverage if you travel a lot in the U.S. Keep in mind, however, there are some areas that do not have Verizon native service and one big one is Alaska ...no Verizon native coverage in Alaska.
I also travel a lot and have a Straight Talk phone that uses AT&T have found it has ubiquitous coverage in the places I travel. I also have a Verizon Mifi that can be used for wifi calls if I find myself in an area with no AT&T coverage so I'm pretty much covered no matter where I go. Both AT&T and Verizon will have good coverage in large metro areas ...and so will Sprint and T-Mobile for that matter but in rural areas, Verizon and AT&T are best.
Again, the phone featured on THIS page will use Verizon (native coverage only, no roaming).
