you will have to contact your provider...if it is Tracfone or straight talk you can go to tracfone and get on their forum page and get quick answers...if it is another carrier for prepaid like sprint Verizon att...you will need to call them

The voicemail function is not on the phone itself but rather on the servers of the carrier the phone uses.
If your previous phone was a Straight Talk phone using the Verizon network, then the same password should work. This is assuming that you had Straight Talk just transfer your remaining time on your account to this (or the new) phone.
I'm assuming, however, that you are a new Straight Talk customer or had a Straight Talk phone that used AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile. If so, I believe you will have to start from scratch and set up a new voicemail account (on the Verizon system which this phone uses). All the messages you once had on your previous account will have been forfeited and you will have to set up a new greeting and other settings.
