If you truly think that you can dry this blanket in a microwave oven, then you are more likely LostInHighConfusion. Please, do NOT put this in a microwave oven. Microwaves are for cooking, not for filling your house with toxic fumes. I would just throw it over a shower curtain rod to dry.

answer 6
mine does have a auto shutoff but I purchased it last year so could be different. It shuts off after a hour or two. Does not get as warm as a electric bed blanket. Takes awhile to feel warm. I actually use my little heating pad more because it gets super hot fast and has the same 2 hour shut off. The 4 things I do not like about mine are: 1) it is small, 50 x 50 I believe. No matter how I sit on the sofa with this I cannot manage to cover my feet and arms/neck totally. It should be longer. 2) Does not get warm fast enough and if you fall asleep it shuts off and your feet hanging out the bottom freezes! 3) You can unplug the blanket and put in washer but I am uncomfortable putting the electric wires in the washer, wish it came with a duvet type cover. 4) My cat can turn it on. The controller looks different on this years version but last yrs version just a casual rub against the button and it was on.
But the price is right and I keep using it so I have to say I am happy but I could sure suggest improvements to the manufacturer.
