THE 120Hz ADVERTIZED REFERS TO THE WAVE LENGTH OF THE POWER USE IN THE ELECTRONICS FOR SCREEN ENHANCEMENTS. ALL HOUSEHOLD ELECTRICITY IS 120v 60hZ AND THAT IS WHAT THE SET USES WHEN PLUGGED IN.

Nope, only component. However I am fairly certain you can still hook it up.
I just wouldn't recommend it, standard def looks bad on modern tv's.

If it's coming from a DVD player you should probably just upgrade.

It's probably is set to the wrong input. On the top right of the remote, right under the button that says "TV", is the "Input" button. Push the Input button and a box will show up on the lower part of the screen that shows Antenna, Component, HDMI 1, A/V, and HDMI 2. Use the remote's left and right arrow keys to highlight the input you are using, then press the "OK" button on the remote. I hope this helps you.
