Yes I got a Walmart 3 year extended warranty for $44. There is also a 4 year warranty for around $ 59 if am not wrong.

Reduce light in the room.

Honestly, the screen is not that reflective. You should see a Plasma if you think this is reflective.

The screen has a good Matte finish and not very reflective as some other TVs available in the market.

Important to note that contrast ratios are not a standard by any means.
Companies will change what they mean between different brands.

Basically, it looks good. Not as good contrast as a plasma, but it is still a great buy.

They are essentially the same. The panel and hardware are identical. The difference is found in the picture settings options. Some features are omitted.

Not sure if 5100 is 120Hz or not. I own it and am waiting an answer from walmart. 5200 is 60Hz for sure from LG page.

You can hook your cell phone into the HDMI port on the 5200 and the 5200 also has a resolution booster for regular tv if you don't have an HD cable box.

Different number different features. Higher number typically means more/better features. The 5700 is a Smart TV, 5100 is not

The LN 5100 is only 60HZ and I beleive the LN5700 is the 120Hz.

It's probably is set to the wrong input. On the top right of the remote, right under the button that says "TV", is the "Input" button. Push the Input button and a box will show up on the lower part of the screen that shows Antenna, Component, HDMI 1, A/V, and HDMI 2. Use the remote's left and right arrow keys to highlight the input you are using, then press the "OK" button on the remote. I hope this helps you.

If using an High Definition converter (HD box) with an HDMI cable make make sure you have it on the correct video source (HDMI).
