Can you use this without the shelf dividers?

Can you assemble this without the dividers so that the shelves are not split into two cubes? I would like to store games on the shelves and they are too long to fit in a cube.

The vertical dividers (one for each shelf) appear to be used as additional support. You don't have to use them when you put it together, but without them I'm not sure how much weight each shelf can bear. Light games might be okay, but nothing too heavy.

It's not a chocolate nor a black. My daughter has a bedroom suite from a furniture store. It is considered Expresso in color. This would match her room just fine so I would qualify it as a true Expresso. It would NOT match your black furniture, sorry.

I have this organizer next to a black media tower. You can definitely tell the difference between the two - especially if there's a light close by. Even so, this organizer is a very deep brown, but might be mistaken for black in certain lighting. I'm not sure how helpful that is, but it's my two cents. :)

I just purchased this. My instructions say to see a video of the assembly go to www.huisenfurniture.com. If you click on videos at the top of the page several storage units come up. Click on the 8 cube organizer and the video will start after a couple of advertisements. I couldn't find printed instructions but there is an email address to contact them. It is admin@jxhuisen.com. I hope this helps.

My husband put it together in about 1 1/2hours with interruptions. It DOES come with GOOD directions. Can you google the maker (from the box) and ask them to send you another set of directions? I would help more if my husband hadn't thrown directions and box away! He is bad about that and to let you know, always slow putting any of these things together. Lots of interruptions in our house. I don't think calling Walmart will help unless they can get you the phone number of the manufacturer. Make sure you get all the detail before going online or even calling later like model number, anything you can get off the box. Hopefully someone still has the directions still, can copy them and mail to you.

Record albums fit perfectly and you can fill up the cubes without worrying about the weight because the individual albums are so light. I have three (top) cubes filled with albums and after several months there has not been any problem. Of course to be safe you could just use the cubes nearest the floor.

Question

What are the correct dimensions for this 8-cube organizer?

The Dimensions posted online can't be correct: 15.35"W x 30.91"D x 30.59"H. This suggests that the entire unit is only 30" high. What are the correct dimensions?

Also, how tall is each cube? I read online that the baskets as recommended by Better Homes & Gardens are 15" tall but that the interior dimension of each cube is only 13" tall, leaving the baskets too tall to stuff into each cube. Please clarify.

I have my shelving unit placed horizontally. The measurements are: Length (or height if placed vertically) - 57 7/8", Deep - 15 1/4", Height (or width if placed vertically) - 31 1/8". Each cubical is 13"(w) x 13 1/4"(h) x 15 1/4"(d) (again that is with the unit placed horizontally, so if you have it vertically, it would be 13 1/4" wide x 13" high).
I found baskets in the store, that are perfect for the unit. And, the collapsible cloth bins are supposed to be a perfect fit, although I haven't received my order yet, so have not tried them in the unit.
