answer 1
A co-pilot is a better solution. This bike is an adult sized bike, and your kid would most likely have hard time reaching the pedals. I let my neighbor ride her young daughter (about 4 or 5 years old) and the daughter couldn't reach anything, so she had to put her feet up. Also, young children have to lean forward to reach the rear handle bar, which means they have to lean on them and when they do this, they loosen up the handlebars.
