Both of you have to pedal together or take you feet off of the pedals because they will continue to rotate if only one person is peddling.

Question
How easily do the wheels come off?
I would like to purchase this tandem and keep it in the back of my car (rear seats fold down and has about 6ft of space) If I took one or both wheels off would it fit?? Do either of the wheels come off fairly easy with a few tools??? Product dimensions??

Front wheel comes off easily with a simple box wrench. I haul it to the beach in a six foot truck bed and it sticks out a little so you would have to take off the wheel for it to fit into 6 foot.

Question
Is this bike appropraite for my 4 year old and I?
Was wondering if this bike would be too big for my almost 5 year old to handle. She currently rides a bike with training wheels but thought it would be more fun to ride together, plus safer. Was wondering if maybe I should just purchase a co -pilot?
Thanks

A co-pilot is a better solution. This bike is an adult sized bike, and your kid would most likely have hard time reaching the pedals. I let my neighbor ride her young daughter (about 4 or 5 years old) and the daughter couldn't reach anything, so she had to put her feet up. Also, young children have to lean forward to reach the rear handle bar, which means they have to lean on them and when they do this, they loosen up the handlebars.
