Works well on balsa wood. I transfer airplane plans so I can cut them out. Poor photo. Great results.

Yes, it will, just not as well as lighter ones. And be sure to make your image as intense as possible before printing. The higher the intensity, the better it will show up.

Will this work on designs other than photos?

I would like to print designs to do needlework with. Does this paper do that or is it just for reprinting pictures and photos? I don't want something that has a rubber/latex feel to it. I want to be able to get my needle through the material. If this is not the correct paper, do you have anything that is like what I am describing?
