Question

Does the wii controler make this game different at all?

So far, I've only played sports games on the wii so i was wondering if it is strange at all using the wii controler to play an actual charactor with a story line. I've only played games like this on my gamecube with traditional controlers.

Actually, its really not a big deal using the wii controller in this game. You can sit and use the controller. You will make slashing movements to use the sword, etc. and use the buttons for jumping. Works quite well and this is a very fun game. Hard to stop playing to go to work or bed!! There are actual swords and shields available for this game but I haven't tried those. Just stuck with the controller and the nunchuck.

The wii controllers are used where ever necessary like reeling while fishing, arrows,sword fights but otherwise normal movements are nunchuk based

Is this game strictly for teenagers?

I was thinking about getting my 10 year old daughter this game for Christmas. She is currently playing another fantasy game on line. Did Zelda mostly get its teen rating for "mild violence", or is their other things in the game that I should be aware of? If the rating is mostly due just to the violence, then I doubt it would be much different than the other game that she is all ready playing.

Twilight Princess is not terribly violent, and although it does center around sword fighting, there isn't much in terms of blood or anything because most of the monsters blow up after being killed. She doesn't have to worry about much inappropriate content. There is absolutely no foul language or anything like that. This game has kind of a dark storyline. I personally don't understand why it was given a Teen rating, unless it had something to do with some of the monsters' gruesome appearances.
