Questions & Answers for Gold's Gym Gold's Gym XRS 20 Olympic Workout Bench

Question

How much does the box weigh??

Hello, I've been looking @ this gym for the past several days trying to decide if it's a good buy. After reading most of the reviews and Q&As it seems to be well worth the price. Now I'm just trying to figure out if I can manage picking it up @ the store or have it delivered to my home. Can someone tell me if the gym is too heavy in the box to be picked up @ the store??

Box is pretty heavy-128 Lbs. Wal-mart was helpful bringing it out to the car for me. One piece of advice-build it where you plan to use it! I got the box in the front door, opened it right there, and moved the pieces one by one to where I planed on using it. It was worth the effort.

You can use a 7' bar. The system works with both Standard and Olympic sets. The distance between the uprights is 48 inches the distance between the collars on the bars should be about 54" apart just to have enough slide room.
Hope this helps

answer 2
You really don't have any options other than to buy a 7' bar. We had purchased a 6' bar and it was too short so we returned that one and bought a 7' one. 7' is great though it takes up a lot more space from side to side.

Question

Can someone please clarify MAXIMUM weight capacity for this product?

This was the answer given for a previous question: "A:
The unit can use Olympic or standard size weights. The weight bench is designed to support a maximum user weight of 300 pounds and a maximum total weight of 610 pounds. Do not
use the weight bench with more than 310 pounds of weight. Do not place more than 150 pounds on the leg lever"

does this mean that if I'm 250 pounds I cannot lay on this bench and hold more than 60lbs of weights? Can somebody please explain, I'm a beginner to all of this.

if you weigh 110 pounds and can bench 310 pounds go for it. if you weigh 300 pounds and bench 310 pounds still good. if you weigh 310 pounds the most you can put on for weight would be 300 pounds. 310 pounds is the maximum weight for the plates while 300 pounds is the maximum weight for the user.

I'm 6' 1/2" and don't have issues with securing the Olympic bar during a squat. I do have to duck a little bit with height adjusted to the eighth hole/notch, but nothing that makes securing the bar difficult.

No, not really! The bench can be inclined and pushed back to take up less room or moved to some other location, but the weight frame itself still takes up about a 6'x3' wide space. If you leave the bench inclined and in position it sticks out another 4'(ish) where the bench is. Hope that helps.
