No, not really! The bench can be inclined and pushed back to take up less room or moved to some other location, but the weight frame itself still takes up about a 6'x3' wide space. If you leave the bench inclined and in position it sticks out another 4'(ish) where the bench is. Hope that helps.

Question

Seat angle adjustable?

I can see that the back is adjustable, but can you change the angle of the seat itself? Specifically, does it angle up for when you want to do decline work? Thanks.

No, the actual seat is stationary. The back has 6 adjustments: from straight up at a right angle to all the way down as a decline.

answer 2
Yes. The bench adjusts very easily. You can incline the bench at 4 different angles, then there is the 180 degree/flat, and lastly a slight decline. I use decline for my dumbbell chest presses.

I've seen a picture of an XRS 20 with a yellow bar in the center of the squat rack, which leads me to believe you can change it out to be either a standard or olympic width bench. However, the model shown here only comes with one center piece that makes the bench olympic size (7 foot bar only).

Question

What is the required bar length for this gym?

Bought this gym and separate weights and bar, and the bar which is 5' is too short for this gym. Anyone have any suggestions?

You can use a 7' bar. The system works with both Standard and Olympic sets. The distance between the uprights is 48 inches the distance between the collars on the bars should be about 54" apart just to have enough slide room.
Hope this helps

You really don't have any options other than to buy a 7' bar. We had purchased a 6' bar and it was too short so we returned that one and bought a 7' one. 7' is great though it takes up a lot more space from side to side.

it does not fold, but the bench and squat rack are separate so when you are done lifting you can turn the bench sideways and slide it up against the squat rack and it has a smaller footprint. but overall the whole thing is not nearly as big as i would have expected it to be for what it is. i would definitely recommend this bench if you are still thinking about purchasing it. i just posted my review you can check that out if you want 11/25/2009
