As you are sitting on it the side that raises will be to your LEFT.

I got mine within about 7-9 days, because I had it shipped directly to my house, might have taken less time if i shipped it to the store.

Only the left, which sort of stinks, as my t.v. is in the opposite corner so I never use the feature for t.v. viewing. I still love the bed though. it's great when you need an extra bed and are limited on space.
