Question
Ease of use... no experience
I have never set up a tent before... is this tent easy to put up and take down? Also, how sturdy is it? What is the floor like? How likely is it that a stick, or something, will poke a whole through the floor or side? Will I need to purchase anything else or is everything I need there? Thank you for your thoughts...

Yes setting it up is quick and easy but only if follow the directions carefully. There are three poles for the tent and one to shape out the rain fly. You need only fit the poles together and thread them through the loops and secure them to the pins at the bottom of the tent. Do one pole at a time. One each pole is "arched" you secure it to the tent with the plastic clips on the side, thats how the tent gets formed out. Teh rain fly then goes over the top with the little peak window at the rear. This gets secured with the elastic straps attached to the fly by attaching them to the rings at the tent bottom. It's really pretty easy. The key is do one step at a time and pay attention to the instructions. Once you get it up you'll never have a problem doing it again. To answer your other questions yes it is a sturdy tent and can withstand pretty substantial winds and rain provided you have staked it into the ground properly. This tent, like most tents, can get stuck with anything, it is simply fabric after all. So be careful about putting it near anything that could pierce it. And it's always a good idea to put down a tarp under it first to protect the bottom, although the tent bottom itself is quite rugged. Otherwise that should be as for the tent. You don't really need to purchase anything else for it.
