Question

Is there anyone out there who has had this Mach 5 (or either of the Hoover Machs) for a year or more who still likes/uses it?

I've read a lot of reviews, some of them are too recent to convince me to make a purchase. Some (the customers who bought this, some time ago haven't posted any other reviews (that I've seen) so, your comments will surely help. I'm in desperate need of a good vacuum A.S.A.P.

Yes we had one. My wife and Daughter hated it cause of its weight. My biggest gripe is that something broke inside and the beater brush will not spin.

It does work good as long as you clean all 4 of the filters every month.

I would still have it if it didn't break inside.

I bought my vacuum almost 2 years ago and I am still in love with it....I have a persian cat and an australian shepherd and 2 boys and it sucks pet hair up like it's not even there. works great on hard floors, too even after a year. I actually got my deposit back after I used this vacuum and a rug doctor on my carpets after we all had lived in an apartment for over a year.

I've had mine for over a year...we still use it and it does the job. My only complaint is that it is heavy. I have problems with my lower back and after I have lifted it to go up the stairs and vacuum up there and then carry it back down it tends to be a little too heavy.

I have had this vacuum for a little over a year now..it has broken for the 2nd time. It broke for the first time after about 4 months or so..the carpet brush stopped working (made a terrible burning smell). We replaced the belt and sent off for a new part that holds the brush on..only for it to stop working again after a few more months. I would not buy this vacuum again. Better than Dyson, ya right.

I have linoleum, ceramic tile, and Pergo flooring in my home, and it works great on all different types of bare floors!! Having the option to turn the beater roller off for the bare floor really works well. I love the pick-up power of this product!!

About HOOVER Mach 5 BAGLESS UP RIGHT

What if {Cord} in {Handle} is Connected and the Cleaner cuts on & off by it's self. Is assembled right and When Handel is ADJUSTED thta's when POWER cuts OFF and ON. Should I Return to the closes Wal-Mart or What? Bought ON-LINE about 10 days ago or so. Site to Store is how I bought the MACH 5 Vacum.

I would as long as you have the reciept. On the other hand, they may tell you to contact the company but I would press WalMart first.
