We've had this vacuum for approx 8 mos. and have nothing but problems with it. By far the worst one I've ever had. Now, it doesn't even work at all and good luck getting Hoover to help you out.

We have this vacuum and it did work wonderfully at first ... and then ...it stopped ... yesterday I took it apart .. cleaned it out .. completely .. I mean really ... washed all parts. Put it back together ... which was a little tricky but doable .. and it works like new ... The trick is to keep it clean .. empty the canister frequently, like every 10 minutes until you run it and the canister isn't filling as quickly. Wow .. can't believe how it picks up .. it is a great vacuum just a pain to use ...

I absolutely hate it now. It started out working fantastic, but performance has deteriorated badly. I keep the filters washed, yet odor issues become very noticeable as well. It is still in use, but I bought a $40 bag type Dirt Devil that significantly outperforms this now.

This unit is pleasingly quiet for a vacuum cleaner. In particular, it does not have the high pitched whine that many budget models are known for.
