You don't need a dvd player. The games come as cartridges that go into the cycle, and then you plug the cord into your television.

Question

Just want to know the maximum weight for the smart cycle.

The smart cycle gives the age level but does not indicate a maximum weight for the cycle. Can anyone please tell me. I have an older child that still might be able to play the games but I'm not sure if she can use it. THANK YOU!

I am purchasing this to have at my home for when my grandchildren come over and they range from 3 to 8 yrs of age. So I have been shopping around and Kmart's website shows a weight limit of 200 lbs. I dont plan on testing that but I do feel better knowing this is something they all can enjoy.

answer 2
I would say maybe no more than 55 pounds, it's small compact size, so it might be harder for a person with longer legs to pedal, but for weight it matters most for pedaling, you don't won't to wear the pedals down, and never let an older person stand up and pedal on it. They will break.

We come from Holland, we want to buy the Fisher-Price Smart Cycle . Is your plug in system the same as in Europe, or should we buy other plug ins?

Europe uses 220 Volts and 50 Hz America uses 110 Volts and 60 Hz years ago this was a problem for electronics but most of todays new electronics will acept either. If you bring your TV from Europe or take a American TV to Europe you can check on the item itself where the serial number is located it will display the power requirments. As for the plug as long as the item will accept the power you can buy a plug adapter at most airports and online.

Bike has a very large range of seat placement.I believe she would have sufficient leg room, but you might check with Fisher-Price for specifications. Good Luck

Good Question! I looked when I read your concerns and found that this product has an adjustable seat as well that I hadn't realized. (Dad and son put it together). It's not huge so it won't take up alot of space in their room yet seems plenty big enough for the age group specified (up to 6). Hope that helps!

According to customer service 12/2008, no there isn't an AC Adapter but they recommend using expensive alkaline D batteries and say that these batteries should last 100 hours.

The games on the cartridge that comes with it is customize your vehicle, learning adventure, alphabet barn, letter creek, the big race, shape lake, math mountain, number fields, there is also a bonus activity you have to complete the first level of each game to play it. The activites are really educational and interactive. Hope this helps.

answer 2
Yes. "The Learning Adventure". It is mostly letter-oriented. Your child gets to pick an automobile; car, bus, or ATV. And then pick a color, and then a horn. Your child then uses that vehicle on the "learning journey" or in "the big race". Those are the two activities involving pedalling. There are several other activities using the joystick. They involve matching shapes, picking out upper and lower-case letters, noticing the letters that make up a short word, among others.
