Yes!!!! Loved this option. Will give you the option of how far away you want to go. Within 10 miles, 20 miles etc.

What is the difference between "Text to Speech" and "Spoken Street Names"? From the description, they sound the same, but why call them something different?

They are the same thing, I think they finally realized that text to speech was a stupid thing to call it because it was not self explanatory so they started calling the feature spoken street names.

after you plug in the address will it show the selected route and provide you with the opportunity to change it in the event you don't like the select

NO. It has 2 basic setting. Shortest and fastest route. Based on what selection you make in your settings it will calculate the route to destination.It wont allow you to chose as it does not displays multiple routes to the destination.

Yes, as long as the unit is charged you can use it while walking. It is WONDERFUL!

Does the 650 have different vehicle modes?
Vehicles such as Heavy trucks, Buses and RV's have certain restrictions. Some GPS units can be set to take that into consideration, such as avoiding Class B roads, low underpasses and U-Turns. Does the 650 have such a feature?

You can tell it which one to show. It doesnt show them all simultaneously though, I dont think
