I'm new about GPS. If I want to go from one point to other, but its not from muy house, how I do to write both directions?tks a lot for help me!

You can enter any address you want to start from.

your starting location will be where ever you currently are. So you would set it up like this:
1- "where to?" with the final destination then "go" will calculate your first route
2- "Menu" "Where to?" then select your next destination then "go". It will ask you if you would like to set as new destination or to add as Via Point.
3- select "Add as via point".
It will give you directions to both places that way and give you the total travel time!

with the nuvi 200, you can pre load the trip with google and its saved under favorutes. OR you can touch the screen wherever your at and make that a starting point for another trip

No it does not speak street names. It tells you to "turn left in .2 miles".

I like to see what cities, states, and highways I am flying over as I look out the window. Could this model work for that also or what model(s) do you recommend?

I have no problems downloading to my GPS off the garmin website. I have downloaded updated maps and additional Country maps with no problem.

As far as I know it wont run with win 98. Check Garmins website for more though

Garmin 200 Power Option
Does this item power up whe the cars power starts. For example, my Tom Tom one needs to be turned on after the car starts. My old Magellan would turn on when it recognized power.

Yes. It will automatically power up when you start your car. If your not interested in using it, just leave it plugged in and switch it off and the battery will charge.

I dont think so. Have not read anywhere about specific truck routes. Might try garmin website and ask them.

Yes, Walmart does not do a great job of showing this, on one of their 4 - 200 models it says it comes with the mounting bracket, dash disc, in car charger and manual. Both the 200, and the 250 I own came with the same things in box
