Yes! That is one of the reasons I bought them. I have checked several times after strong storms and hour long rain to see if the covers really work and the chairs were completely dry. Based on my experience with them, I would recommend it.

Yes they do have ties but i cut them off as that is too much trouble. We have had many strong storms now and the have not come off once. I have been using them for two months.

While they are not designed to tighten at the bottom, they do have ties...though we haven'y used those, and had serious winds associated with a tornado warning, and the covers remained in position.

Great question... I had not even thought of stacking and using a single cover...so I went out to see...and the answer is yes...the covers are not skimpy in size, so typical stacking chairs, perhaps as many as four, would fit...see picture of stacked chairs.

I think so. I bought 2 bigger covers because the dimensions on this one said it wouldn't fit my chair but it did. I am using it on a reclining outdoor chair and theire is plenty of room on the sides for a wider chair.
