It will not flip automatically. You set the timer as advised in the instruction manual. When that beeps, you will have to flip manually.

It does in a way. You first open it flat to pour the batter into the left side of the unit. Close it folding it to the left and the flip it over to the right. It works very well.

Cord is not removable. It can't be used over seas unless you have an adaptor for their voltage over there.
