Dark brown. Black is usually referred to as ebony when it comes to wood colors I have learned. Hope this helps.

apparently at 135 lbs i am too heavy for this thing because with the 10 or less times i have ever used it one of the wooden pieces on the bottom is almost completely split in two! CHEAP!

It doesn't recline, but you don't sit straight up. It's more of a reclined back to it.

This glider does not recline but the back is positioned at an angle to make sitting and gliding much more comfortable. It is not like you are sitting fully upright.

I can fit it in my jeep its not as big as you would think, its bout half the size of the chair cus it all sits in the chair, also its easy to put together I have it in my living room with brown leather looks nice, cushion could be stuffed more to me for like the chair any ways good price.

the box is large enough that it might not fit in a compact car unless your doors open wide or you have a large trunk. you can however, remove it from the box and put the parts in your car. it's easy to assemble and not very many pieces.
