Don't know how you have Sulfur in your water system. As water from your local county system is suppose to filter that out. but, to answer your question it will. The stage three types will.

I'm not sure about sulfur water, but if it cleans the "hard" water that we have here I'm sure it will clean the sulfer water that you have. It's worth it!

How do you replace the battery for the green - yellow - red light in your Pur Sink

I purchase a Silver Pur upright sink device not even two years from Walmart here in Temecula, CA. It no longer works correctly. I purchase a box of three filters to replace the old filter. But this contraption is useless as the battery light no longer works and even though I have put in a new filter I can NOT tell when it is time to replace it and then of course without the light I don't know if it is working correctly?

So really your advertisement for our sinks is only good for two years and as a customer needs to fork out more money just to buy another sink attachment ? WHY?

I did not save my box or the instruction sheet or receipt why would I?

I have used in the past Bretta Faucet Sink attachment and thought to switch over to the PUR as it was highly recommended by a neighbor of mine and now not even 13 months it has failed 100 percent. The water here in California is BAD in taste and I really don't like purchasing bottled water but if your method doesn't work correctly then why do you have it on the market?

This happened to three of mine, including the one they sent me as a replacement. They never last three months, either. If I were you, I'd call or write them for a free replacement, and then start shopping around for a better alternative: I am. See my review.

The light flashes red when it needs to be changed. By the way. Once the light turns yellow, it doesn't take long to go to red so you should have a replacement ready to go when it turns yellow

Just vertically & horizontal which ever style you prefer.That's it & both use the same identical filters.hope it helps

A: The Advanced models have vertically oriented filter housings, and the AdvancedPlus models have horizontally oriented filter housings. The AdvancedPlus models are compatible with the older styles of filters, that some consumers have left over.

Other than the physical differences, and the compatibility with older filter models, these "One Click" models are the same, and can use either our Classic Clear or Mineral Clear filters.

Question

what's with the second hole on the bottom of the unit

I have a FM-3700B model. A week or so after using it I discovered water leaking from another hole. At times it will flow as a separate stream, at times it will join the flow of the main stream. I've found no mention of this or its function in any of the product literature or reviews, but it was clearly manufactured as such, it's a clean cut, not just a crack.

Hi Brasha! I've checked my unit and saw only the water dispenser opening. Without seeing this sounds like a damaged unit, and probably should've been immediately addressed. There are two designs, one in which the filter is sideways and the other the filter is upright. I noticed in the sideways design there was an additional opening at bottom. But again your issue sounds like it may be different. The unit is warranted for two years, so if you did not cause the damage you may be able to have this remedied.

It shunts the flow through the filter when you hold the lever down and water exits under the filter. With the lever up it runs straight down from the faucet. If you're getting water from both holes the lever is halfway between filter off and on position.

Do I need to replace the entire unit when the filter replacement indicator does not light up anymore? The housing still works fine and is in good shape -no leaks, either.

Hello SMF. You absolutely do not have to replace the filter for the indicator light. This is a common occurrence, as I've had two units lose their indicators. This is the nature of having a high volume water transfer device with an electrical component. Moisture can get to that component internally or externally, even through condensation. However the filtration is mechanical in nature so the indicator light has absolutely no bearing on filtration quality. It will simply leave you with no way of knowing when the filters is due for change. But for this simply document your change date 90 days out from install, give or take a few weeks depending on your usage.

Hi Deb. This is a common occurrence, as I've had indicator lights fail on two previous units. An affordable, water tranferring device of high volume (and with a lighting component) will likely always have such issue. And consider that if one does dishes, cleans fruits/veggies, etc. there will likely be lots of water covering the outside as well. Over time traces of moisture exposed to electrical components is inevitable. When the indicator goes out this is what has happened and it will never work again. The main thing, as you can see, is your filter will continue to work. You will simply have to be conscious of when filter changes are needed. Hope this is helpful.

I believe it's a know issue with Pur. Mine did the same once and they said it was water getting into the circuit board inside the unit. If it's in warranty or a reasonable amount of time since you bought it and you ask nice, they might just send you a new one.

Hello Rita. It appears that none of the adaptors fit the faucet in your new place? Or you simply need new ones? Either way you may have to contact PUR. They can sell you replacements or if you have an odd faucet that has no easy fit they may have a solution. Their contact is purwater.com or 800-787-5463.

if it is still under warranty if you call the company they will send some others free of charge.
Other wise just go to a hardware store they have all different ones to choose from & they are not expensive at all & give hands on help if needed.Hope it helps
