answer 7
Yes you can do it yourself. The pressure cuff has plastic insert that keeps it round and just slides up your arm. Then a Velcro flap closes it off. The unit (air pump) has enough volume that the cuff doesn't have to be installed really tight to make it work. I recommend this unit.

answer 8
Yes, it is very easy to do by yourself. This is because the cuff is preshaped and once you have it set for the size of your arm all you need to do is slide it on. I love it.

I was able to get accurate readings with thin T-shirts on the patient still. I wouldn't try with a thick shirt, like a sweatshirt though.

4 rechargeable AA batteries would also work, just don't try to charge them while inside the unit (via the AC adapter).

answer 2
A rechargeable battery should work in anything you use it with. The fact that the batteries are recharable should not matter.

answer 4
Sure, I use rechargeables with mine. But I do use Powergenix 1.6 volt rechargeable. Regular batteries deliver 1.5v. Most rechargeable batteries deliver 1.2-1.35 volts. While most modern electronic devices should compensate for the lower voltage, I always buy rechargeables that are rated at 1.5. You can actually see a difference if you put 1.2V batteries versus 1.5V batteries in your flashlight. I but Powergenix rechargeables that are rated at 1.6V for my AA and AAA batteries.

Yes it will. If your biceps are 16" or larger, you should purchase a large cuff separately. If a cuff is too small and snug on your arm, you will get a distorted/inaccurate blood pressure reading!

not really necessary unless working with an obese patient. RNs where I work borrow my B/P machine and they put it on the lower arm of their obese patient. Not the best for accuracy, but it works enough to know if you are working with low B/P or a high B/P.

answer 4
No time and date recording, just the last 90 readings. They are stored in order and simply numbered #1 through #90. There is also no function to print out (or transfer to a PC) the data. You just have to click through them one at a time.
answered 10 months ago
By
Macnick
answer 5
It will only save the current blood pressure and heart rate readings. There is no option for a date and time. It is also only going to store readings for one person. If two people want to use it then one of them would not be able to store their readings. It does come with a nice chart for you to log the readings manually if you should need to use it for more than one person.
answered 10 months ago
By
MPS2
answer 6
Not date and time. It does keep 90 readings 3 per day for 30 days.
