Gold's Gym Gold's Gym Inversion Table

With an inversion table, you can realign and stretch your spine, reversing the effects of compression activities like running, weightlifting and aerobics which are compounded by the forces of gravity. Helps relieve sore muscles as well by cleansing them of built-up lactic acid. Plus, with your own inversion table at home, you can save money that you would otherwise spend on classes.

No it doesn't, once its put together it stands about 4 feet tall at the handles and the top of the table starts out about 5 feet tall, until you tilt it dowward. Hope this helps you out.

LOL. I built mine yesterday (1/24/08). At first I had the same issue. No Strap!!. Look for a yellow sheet with new directions and a bag with a chain. Voila. IMO chain is better than strap. Hope this helps

The table itself has a strong chain that you can adjust and enables you to set the angle that is comfortable for you.

It can if you want it to only go so far back. You adjust it before getting on it and then go back to the position you set and it stays there until you decide to go back up.

After assembly, it moved freely with no load. I set the travel with chain links and soon found the best balance adjustment with a body on board at 3" taller than actual (6'1" instead of my real 5'10"). Then everything worked great. I hope this helps.

Question
About the ankle locks
Does this table actually have something that holds your ankles or do you have to flex your feet and hold your ankles in position? I have 3 broken bones in my right ankle, so if it requires any strength there I won't be able to do it. Thanks for the help!

With your rare condition you need to go somewhere & try the two different styles (ankle braces and the padded foot braces) to answer that.

Adjusts to 6’ 6” but all things are relative. You’re “supposed” to be able to adjust it so that you can swing your arms over your head and go back, put them at your side and tip back upright. Good luck. Might work for a specific body type but I doubt you will find many that it works both directions. As a few people have said they can get one direction or the other but not both. In my case I keep it set so coming back up is much easier although not a simple put my hands at the side. It is not that hard to use the handles to assist yourself back up right. Much better to have it set so you might need a little effort to tip backward. As for the height, the way I have it set it is for someone 6’ 1” and I am actual 5’ 11”. If that extra two inches are added on to your husband then that puts you right at the max 6’ 6” it says it will handle. I would guess that the extra height he has would allow him to get the correct balance closer to what the scale shows. Since you can take it back, go for it and if it doesn’t work for him return it. From the units I have looked at the only ones that go beyond the 6’ 6” are commercial units in the $600+ range.
